Together with a network of associate consultants, we bring academic rigour to find real world scalable solutions to complex socio-environmental challenges.

Director & Head of Biodiversity
Dr Andreia Miraldo
Andreia is an experienced scientist and programme coordinator, holding a PhD in Biological Sciences and amassing over 20 years of experience in ecology and biodiversity research and management. Her primary focus is on understanding genetic diversity patterns within various ecosystems. She has led research and evaluation teams in several low-income countries studying a range of critical biodiversity issues.
Her research spans a wide range of areas, from investigating reptile diversification to analysing insect population dynamics. Notably, she led the world's first global mapping initiative to uncover genetic diversity patterns, establishing her as an expert in tackling complex biodiversity questions and improving her data analysis skills.
Andreia also brings substantial experience in leading and coordinating research and evaluation programs in both global North and global South settings. Her effective use of citizen science approaches have been particularly successful in broadening the scope and impact of her research and engagement.

Director & Head of Sustainability
Dr Matthew Osborne
Matthew is a highly skilled strategic thinker, team leader, and programme manager who holds a PhD in International Development (Economics). His primary focus is on the behavioural aspects of Development and Environment research and policy, and he has a noteworthy track record with multiple publications in leading peer-reviewed journals. His areas of expertise encompass Climate Mitigation & Adaptation Research & Policy, Governance & Institutional Capacity Building, Behavioural Science, Poverty Evaluations, Environmental Security, Low-Carbon Development, and Energy Transitions.
Matthew brings over 20 years of experience, combining self-directed and support research roles, as well as substantial programme and team management experience in diverse Global South and North contexts. He has an extensive history of establishing partnerships and collaborations across academic, government, and civil society sectors in Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America. He is a passionate advocate for the practical application of scientific knowledge in policy and practice, and he is dedicated to empowering local stakeholders and community beneficiaries in the design and implementation of programmes.
